Psych Services consist of a psychiatric evaluation and nursing assessment. Genetic testing is also utilized to help in medication management. Psych Services are based on the needs of each particular client and are adjusted to client’s needs throughout treatment.
Treatment Eligibility
All clients with or without medical or psych history will have a follow up psychiatric appointment within one week of their stay to assess any medical or psychiatric needs. This is an important part of the overall path to sobriety.
Evaluation Benefits
Clients are educated in PAWS (Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome) and protocol medications that help alleviate the symptoms for the first week. Education of any medical or psychiatric issues is addressed. In addition we educate clients about STD’s, Hep-C, and HIV/AIDs.
Genetic testing is helpful for clients who have difficulties with medication management. We can see whether or not the body metabolizes a particular medication appropriately. This technology can be used for a client’s lifetime for any medical or psychiatric medication needs.
