Hello again Alumni! It’s officially getting HOT in south Florida – well, hotter at least. Although I’m a frequent beach-goer, I know sometimes the higher temps make being outside just flat out unenjoyable. For those of you who prefer to lounge out in the AC and spike your utility bills, I chose a film on Netflix to recommend to you all.
This month’s movie pick is Yes Day starring Jennifer Garner and Edgar Ramirez Arellano. The Torres kids are used to hearing the word “no” from a probably overly strict mother and a father who doesn’t want to shake things up. I don’t know about you, but I can surely relate to this dynamic. When Mrs. Torres finds out that her kids perceive her as an absurdly protective monster, she agrees to give them a full day in which her and the mister have to say yes to all of their requests. Funny, family-friendly, and heart-warming, Yes Day is actually one of my favorite movies of 2021 so far. If you are going to choose to stay inside, at least stay entertained and watch this movie while you’re at it.
