Our young adult program (under 30) is designed to help improve social and emotional development. Our clients learn about the recovery process in a fun, open environment, with frequent beach trips, bbqs, a creative music program, and life skills training to help the client excel in education and their careers. We have an adult program (over 30) that includes structured group and individual therapy sessions with masters-level therapists. We help adults cope with addictive disorders and navigate their family, career, and personal lives with weekly meditation. The benefit is really twofold: 1) With out-of-state treatment, the temptations are removed. The client is immediately removed from people, places and things which tend to hamper, enable, and hinder their recovery in the most important earliest stages of treatment. 2) Children, spouses, friends and work-related issues are a cloud that hangs over a client who receives treatment locally. It can reach a ‘boiling point’ which allows a client to decide to leave early. The stressors or triggers associated with the ability to call someone who lives within close proximity of the treatment center to come pick them up and leave treatment early or AMA are not as pronounced. Yes, our individualized treatment plan allows the treatment team to see what treatment modalities have worked successfully for the client in the past and which may have had a negative impact. Most jobs require continued treatment after patient care. Once our clients are close to completing their treatment program, we provide them with several aftercare options both locally and when they return home. Larger facilities are often overcrowded and can include group sizes of more than 30 people at a time. Also, the therapists often deal with overwhelming caseloads. Therapists at larger facilities are less likely to spend the required time needed to attend to the client’s needs. At our facility, our group sessions are small, we have specialized programs focusing on individualized treatment, and we offer age-specific as well as gender-specific programs. Our therapists are able to develop a special therapeutic connection with many clients, which contributes to their growth and reduces their chances of relapse over time.
