Licensed, certified or master-level therapists who are specifically trained to treat those who are 30 and older lead this program. Group sessions focus on the concerns of adults with addictive disorders, which include parenting, divorce, blended families, and grief and loss. Individual therapy is provided to help navigate the difficulties of adult life and the impact of alcohol and drugs on family, career and health. Meditation is also available on a weekly basis.
Sessions are held in our adults-only suite: a peaceful, focused environment that provides optimum conditions for recovery.
For adults with addictions issues, there are special issues. More so than for younger people, they have more deeply ingrained patterns of belief, thought and behaviors. Their emotional maturity may not match their age. The majority have families, children and relationships, many of whom rely on them financially, physically and emotionally. We have our clients work on responsibility, and looking effectively at tools and resources to support them while they work at changing the way they think and behave.
While most clinical programs only have a clinical and cognitive aspect, we also work closely with clients on spirituality, and types of meditation and mindfulness practices. We operate on the belief that the foundations of recovery are about clients finding purpose, creating community through fellowship and connecting with spirituality.
The Adult Program is an individual treatment focus based on client age, need, etc. and is part of both of our two treatment programs: the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
This residential program includes a holistic therapeutic approach with small group meetings, 12-step meetings, gender and age specific groups, Christian groups, a First Responder program, case management services, weekly alumni meetings, aftercare, life skills, recreation and support for family and friends with weekend visits and therapy sessions.
You’ll be living in one of our comfortable condos or houses located on a serene campus or in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. You’ll enjoy private bedrooms and baths, washers and dryers, full-size updated kitchens, scheduled phone time and a computer lab for accessing work and school-related material as your therapist determines it helpful to you.
Our Partial Hospitalization Program is truly unique and is managed by a professional, dedicated and caring staff led by our Clinical Director, Linda Posner. Ms. Posner has a Masters of Social Work and is an accomplished licensed clinical social worker with extensive leadership and clinical experience in the field of addiction treatment. She has expertise in cognitive behavioral therapy, solutions-oriented treatment, relapse prevention counseling, trauma counseling and is certified in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing with ICISF. She has served as Chair of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Florida South Eastern chapter.
Our master-level, talented therapists will be facilitating therapy and psycho-educational groups, helping to create treatment plans and offering individual sessions to address your particular needs.
Along with traditional medications, you will be evaluated and provided with a recovery pack of natural supplements to ease withdrawal symptoms and have the opportunity for weekly chiropractic services with our resident chiropractor, Dr. Sands.
You will also have access to our Brain Solutions program. As part of your work on healing mind, body and spirit, this program helps restore your brain chemistry, align hand-eye coordination, meet goals and objectives and much more, all through the use of video activities and video games.
When your program has concluded, our discharge planners will help you create an aftercare plan designed to guide you through long-term recovery.
You’ll also be introduced to our alumni department. They stay in contact with you as well as invite you to our weekly alumni group that will help you stay accountable and enjoy sober living through fun activities like bowling, go-carting and more.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
The Intensive Outpatient Program is for those who are unable to make the time commitment to our inpatient program, and for residential clients who wish to continue treatment after their 30-day stay. The focus is on continued growth, and our approach is holistic. Clients learn the importance of staying connected to the recovery community to maintain long-term sobriety.
Clients participate in our Alumni Program, which includes weekly meetings and activities like fishing, go-carting and bowling to help keep them on the right path. Our Alumni Program, and our aftercare, help clients maintain long-term sobriety. Our goal is to have our clients become independent and financially stable.
