Accreditation at Transformations Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center

Transformations is proud to be accredited and licensed by a number of organizations and agencies, including:

  • Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF): Considered to be the premier accrediting body in relation to rehabilitation programs. To receive accreditation, organizations must showcase a higher degree of internal quality.
  • The Joint Commission: Emphasizing standards in relation to clinical practice, the Joint Commission is the nation’s largest and oldest accrediting body in health care. Certification is important as it helps to ensure a high level of consistent quality.
  • The Florida Department of Children and Families: We are licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services, who remain committed to protecting vulnerable families while advancing personal and family recovery.

Will My Insurance Plan Cover the Cost of Treatment?

When individuals and families in need call our treatment facility, they are often eager to discuss their options in regards to their insurance policies. We are happy to work with a number of insurance providers, helping our clients gain access to the treatment they deserve.

Depending on the insurance provider and associated plan, some individuals will receive 100% coverage, whereas others will gain access to partial benefits.

This coverage is offered because of the fact that drug addiction and alcoholism are now defined as substance use disorders that are both medically diagnosed and treatable. Since mental and behavioral health services are considered essential health benefits, most plans cover some aspect of substance use disorder treatment.

This is based on the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008, which stipulates that companies cannot discriminate or deny coverage to individuals in need of substance abuse treatment. This was followed by the Affordable Care Act of 2010, which further classified addiction and mental health services as essential health benefits.

Confirming Your Eligibility

In order to verify whether or not you’re covered for drug and alcohol treatment, all you need to do is contact our admissions team. The process is quick and easy. Our admission staff members will work with you to simplify all the arrangements, making this process as stress-free as possible.

During the initial call, please provide your insurance information. Based on that information, our staff members will help you verify all of the benefits you’re entitled to. This process typically takes around 20 to 30 minutes. This step is completed before any of our clients are officially accepted into one of our comprehensive treatment programs.

Remember, each provider and policy provide different services, so it is important to be mindful of your deductibles, co-payments, and out-of-pocket maximums. Based on this information, we can provide you a more accurate estimate in regards to the expected final cost of treatment.

What Services Are Covered by Health Insurance Policies?

Each policy is unique in terms of what’s covered. However, private health insurance policies tend to partially or fully cover the following services provided by Transformations:

  • Drug detox and rehab
  • Residential treatment facility care
  • Intensive outpatient treatment programs
  • Opioid treatment programs
  • Behavioral therapies, including psychotherapy and counseling

Perhaps one of the most important steps is the completion of the initial screening and assessment process, as this will allow you to achieve a more concrete diagnosis in regard to a substance use disorder. After this assessment process, you will then receive coverage based on your plan and the suggested treatment services.

For those who seek assistance that is deemed to be medically necessary, basic treatment services can be 100% covered. However, if you would like to obtain a private room or require additional services, you may need to pay additional out-of-pocket expenses.

For example, TRICARE covers a wide range of medically and psychologically necessary substance use disorder and mental health services. In some cases, they even cover additional therapy options, including recreational and art therapy.

It is important to note that what’s covered will depend on your specific policy and the types of services you require. As stated by Cigna, some of the main variables to consider are:

  • Which drug and alcohol rehabs you are eligible for
  • How long you’ll attend rehab (i.e., 30 days vs. 90 days)
  • The level of care you require

If You Do Not Have an Insurance Plan

At Transformations, we understand that not everyone has access to either a private or marketplace health insurance plan. If this is the case for you or your loved one, we welcome you to contact us in order to discuss your options.

We have developed a number of ways in which we can assist those without insurance, including financing options and affordable self-pay plans. We can also assist you when searching for other supportive financial resources.

One core example is non-profit treatment programs, which are designed by various agencies and institutions. These are funded by private donations and grants. These resources can help you offset the costs of treatment based on a wide range of community and individual support projects.

There are also government-funded treatment options. We work closely with both the government and nonprofit organizations to ensure that our prospective clients get the type of treatment they need and deserve.

It is important to note that regardless of your financial means, recovery is attainable for all. If you are struggling with addiction, you should not go without treatment just because you don’t believe you have the financial means.

If you’re ready to take the next step and obtain the type of treatment you deserve, please contact us today.
